Event Examples (subject to change)

Teens will compete in four exciting events:

1)    The Total Gym Leverage Pull-up: Each teen has one minute to complete as many pull-ups   as possible using 50 percent of their body weight. Each teen’s total score is then counted and used as an overall team score.

2)    The 5 Gallon Water Jug Carry & Sled Pull: Two team members will carry 10-18, 5 gallon water jugs down a 30 foot course stacking them on a rack. When the rack if full the other two team members will pulled the rack back to the finish area. Winners with the quickest times place.

3)    The 40 yard Shuttle Run: Each teen will ran a 40 yard quick shuttle. Winners with the quickest times place.

4)    The Tire Flip competition: Each team member must properly flip a 120 or 150 pound truck tire down a 30 foot course to a finish line. Winner with the quickest times place.

The team with the best total combined score of all events will win their place in competition.  These events not only thoroughly challenge the athleticism of contestants, but they make for exciting and entertaining viewing for spectators and fellow contestants. The adrenaline will be pumping!
 
Kurt Angle, a former Olympic Gold Medalist and David Hawk, one of NASCAR’s Best Professional Trainer, coordinated the 2007 event.  The Challenge will inspire young people to live the healthy fit lifestyles.
